Allez Le Bugue! Le Rugby's adopted team in Fédérale 1 finally got off the mark against Lourdes, thanks no doubt to some divine inspiration. But who are the players that make up the mighty Bugue? Lower league correspondent Terry Oubliee tells us more.

Terry FanoluaIt's a squad of mesmeric overseas mercenary proportions, with 15 of the 32-man effectif hailing from outside France. These include four Fijians, three Georgians, three Algerians, a Welshman, an Argentinean, a Samoan, a Tongan and a German.

Pilier
First choices are Fijian international tight head Naisake Tarogi and Georgian international loose head Dato Gasviani. The latter is joined by fellow Georgian Nikoloz Magaldadze, a tight head who joined from Cahors this year. Backing up on the loose head is Argentinean Daniel Rodriguez, who has plenty of Top 14 and Pro D2 experience with the likes of Brive and Lyon. Sage observers of Argentinean rugby are still scratching their heads as to why he's missed out on international recognition.

Talonneur
Current incumbent is 22-year-old Anthony Tarrit, who joined from Agen this season. He's taken the place of previous first choice Amédée Domenech, who arrived from the, erm, Stade Amédée-Domenech in 2007, after gaining some valuable top-flight experience with Brive. He's shown his versatility by starting most games this season in the back row. Rumours that Le Bugue are in talks to sign Jean Dauger, Pierre Antoine and Moe Nicipal-Dalbi are just that.

Deuxième ligne
Amédée DomenechNot a strong position for Le Bugue. Best of a mediocre bunch seem to be Fijian Peni Tora, who arrived from Arras in the summer, and local lad Florent Castenetto. They're backed up by veteran 37-year-old German Sacha Fischer who has top flight experience with Bourgoin, and who at 6ft 9in is a man mountain. Also bolstering the boiler-house is Fijian Benjamin Sadrugu, who like his fellow Fijian Tora was a regular with Arras last season.

Troisième ligne
Star of the show is 11-cap Georgian international number 8 Dimitri Basilaia, who arrived from Morlaas in the summer. He's ably assisted by promising young flanker Fabien Boire, who spent last season learning the ropes with Brive's espoirs. Competing for the final starting spot are Algerian pair Azzouz Aib and Boumédienne Allam, the latter who can call upon recent top-flight experience with the likes of Narbonne and Auch. Others of note include local product Nicolas Netsen, an agile, effective ball carrier.

Demi de mêlée
Premiere homme is 26 year old François Bourgeois, who's in his second season at the Stade Renaud-Cruveiller after previously starring for Fed 1 hot shots Périgueux. He's backed by local youth team graduate Julien Guillot.

Demi d'Ouverture
Tomos MarksTop of the pile is Welsh wizard Tomos Marks. The 25 year old ex-Llanelli and London Welsh pivot, who joined in the summer from Llandovery, is the club's main kicker. He has great hands, a reliable boot and a double dummy switch to die for. He's backed up by local youngster William Donnart, who's spent most of the last two seasons warming the bench.

Centre
Time to get your autograph books out as we look at the second five-eighths (so called because they come between the half backs and three-quarters). Star man is club captain Terry Fanolua, the vastly experienced 35 year old Samoan international centre. The ex-Brive and Gloucester man has missed just 43 minutes of play in the 27 games played by Le Bugue since he joined in July 2008. He's usually partnered by experienced local product Néric Hervé, who is part of the furniture at the Stade Renaud-Cruveiller. They're backed up by 17-cap Tongan international Sukanaivalu 'Suka' Hufanga, who played 12 top-flight and European games for Brive last season, and youngster Cédric Gilbert.

Ailier
There's quality out wide, underlined by the fact that it's any two from three. There's Fijian maison de puissance Aloisio Butonidualevu, who arrived from Lons-le-Saunier in the summer, François Beaugendre, the ex-Limoges flyer who's bagged 14 tries in the last three seasons and Stade Francais youth product Morgan Souply who snared an even more impressive 11 tries in his last 27 starts.

Arrière
First choice 15 is ex-Brive and Union Bordeaux-Bègles youngster Charley Platek, who no doubt one day will tell his grandchildren how he once scored two tries for les Correzains against the mighty Border Reivers in a European clash. He's backed up by Jilali Aib, the Algerian who arrived from Ribérac during the close season.
